Telling lies to insurance companies is a really bad idea
We recently quoted car insurance for a client but were unable to offer an acceptable premium because of their residential circumstances.
So, we were surprised when one of our insurer panel advised us that the client had gone to them direct via their website, obtained a quotation, paid and gone on cover.
She had given a different address – believed to be her parents’ – in order to obtain the documents but her money is wasted since any claim will be void due to the policy being obtained by fraud. Not only that but there is a very real possibility of a criminal prosecution which could blight her future.
Honesty is not just the best policy but really the only policy.
