Penalties for using mobile phones whilst driving
As from 1st March the minimum penalty for using a mobile device whilst driving is 6 penalty points and £200 fine.
If that is not enough of an incentive not to use your mobile phone, there is also the very much increased risk of having an accident which could risk your life and the lives of others.
And if that’s not enough, your motor insurance premium is going to increase considerably. After all, 6 points is half way yo being disqualified and insurance companies are bound to treat that seriously.
There are, of course, quite reasonably priced hands-free kits or – since not many of us wear gloves these days – use that glovebox as a phonebox.
